Review :: Zenfone 4 and Motorola Moto Phones

Welcome to Nutechnologies, All These phones mentioned above are very popular on the Indian market, but worldwide as well. They’re mid-range devices, not very powerful, but they’re useful for your basic needs. We’ll compare both of them to see if there is a difference between their performances.

Designs, displays and sizes

The Zenfone 4 is a colorful budget-phone device, having a plastic back with rounded edges and corners and a metallic band below the screen, which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Speaking of the screen, it’s a TFT of 4inches with a modest resolution of 480x800pixels and 233ppi. The device is very light, weighting 115grams and has physical dimensions of 124.4×61.4 x11.2mm.

As for the Moto E, this simple smartphone with a minimalistic look – curved back, round corners, a rear camera in the center, with the Motorola logo below it – comes with a bigger display of 4.3inches protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, whose resolution is 540x960pixels with 256ppi. The dimensions of the Moto E are 124.8×64.8×12.3mm – which means that the phone is very thick, and its weight is 142grams.

Hardware and OS

The Zenfone 4, as well as the Moto E, has a dual core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, but it uses an Intel Atom Z2520 chipset and a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU, while the Moto E comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset which supports an Adreno 302 GPU.

As far as the internal memory and the RAM capacity go, we can tell you that both of the devices come with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (the Zenfone 4 has another 8GB variant), and you can add a microSd card for expansion up to 64GB – in the case of the Zenfone 4, or 32GB – as the Moto E supports.

Being an older device, the Zenfone 4 comes with v4.3 (Jelly Bean) and now it runs on v4.4.2 (KitKat), while the Moto E comes with v4.4.2 (KitKat) and received the 4.4.3 (KitKat) update.

Moto

Cameras

Don’t have high expectations from these phones’ cameras as both of them support a resolution of 5MP. Thankfully, the Zenfone 4 comes with autofocus and a few features such as face detection and panorama. If you use to make video calls, you’ll find the VGA front camera very useful. The Moto E lacks a secondary camera.

Batteries

When the Li-Po 1200/1600mAh battery on the Zenfon will start to let you down, you’ll be able to replace it. This isn’t possible with the Moto E, because its battery of 1980 mAh is non-removable.

Prices

The price of the Zenfone 4 on Amazon is 126 dollars, being 6 dollars more expensive than the Moto E.
