Samsung Galaxy Grand or Micromax? Which is better?
Micromax brought an overhauled version of the Canvas 4, which is more powerful, more beautiful and has all the advantages you’d want on your smartphone. On the other hand, the Galaxy Grand Prime was brought to our attention as being a replacement for the popular Grand series. Let’s see how they stack against each other.
Designs, displays and sizes
The Micromax Canvas 4 Plus is very sleek, featuring an aluminum casing, with white, gold and black finishes. Its dimensions haven’t been made public, but we found out that the device weights 149grams. It was blessed with a 5inches AMOLED display which is bundled with 720x1280pixels and supports 293ppi. You’ll be able to watch movies and listen to music because the phone has some amazing loud speakers.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime comes with a plastic removable back panel, it has a home button under the screen surrounded by two capacitive buttons, and the display is TFT of 5inches, with a resolution of 540x960pixels and 220ppi. The smartphone comes only in white, it weights 156grams and its dimensions are 144.8×72.1×8.6mm.
Hardware and OS
The Micromax device is powered by an octa core 1.7GHz Mediatek MT6592 processor which couples with 1GB of RAM and its internal memory is 16GB, expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card. Also, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat version.
As for the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, the device hides under its hood a quad core 1.2GHz Cortex-A53 processor that teams up with an Adreno 306 GPU, both sitting on a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset along with 1GB of RAM. The operating system is the same, and as well as the Canvas 4 Plus, the Samsung Galaxy Grand model supports Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS.
Cameras
This is a battle between two smartphones that target the casual selfies, as both devices are fitted with advanced front cameras of 5MP. Many reviewers consider Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime’s front snapper much more efficient, because it takes accurate and colorful pictures, but we can’t say anything badly about Canvas 4 Plus’ front camera either. However, the Micromax model comes with a 13MP camera on the back, while its opponent has an 8MP primary camera.
Batteries
the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime’s battery is 2600mAh bigger while Micromax Canvas 4 Plus’ battery is removable and has a capacity of 2000mAh. So the Samsung Galaxy Grand is more efisien than Micromax
